Volunteer Opportunities

Administrative
These volunteers spend time helping in the Colorado Youth at Risk office. Activities include bulk mailings, database management, putting packets together and phone services.

Corporate Sponsorship Committee
We are looking for committee members who will introduce CYAR to their firm to explore partnership opportunities. We are also looking for individuals with connections to in-kind giving (restaurant, coffee, salon gift certificates, etc.). We are also looking to secure food donations for our monthly community workshops that provide dinner to around 50-60 people.

Events
Behind the scenes, volunteers create an environment and a space for amazing things to happen, often making transitions from one activity to the next flow seamlessly. Activities include set up of the room and preparation of special supplies or activities. Volunteers are needed for every community workshop, training, special event and the launch course.  We currently have four major fundraising events per year, including our sprint silent auction, summer golf/bowling event, and our two fall fundraisers, Mustache 4 Cash/Color 4 Kids and our breakfast fundraiser.

Marketing Committee
We are looking for people with printer connections, marketing experience, and/or graphic design experience.

Recruitment Committee
We are looking for committee members with energy and sales ability who will recruit mentors, volunteers and think up creative ideas to spread the word about Colorado Youth at Risk in the community. This team will be contacting community centers, social clubs, leads groups, corporations, churches, fraternity alumni groups, etc. to communicate our mission and volunteer opportunities. We are also looking for individuals that would like to participate in making Colorado Youth at Risk and inclusive community.  Recruitment Committee members also participate in our Creating Promise Informational Sessions.

Web/IT
We are looking for people who have experience in web design and web management. We are continually looking for new and fresh ideas to add to our website.
