Most Recent Volunteer Opportunities Are: One of our favorite events of the year is upon on and we would greatly appreciate your help in making it a roaring success!
There are two ways you can participate and receive FREE entry to the event, which includes gratis beer, wine, and hors d'oeuvres.
The first way we would love your help is by collecting items for the auction. If you bring in items totaling over $300, you have yourself a ticket. If you bring in items totaling $600 or more, you receive a pair of tickets. Obtaining items is as easy as reaching out to a friend, your business, a place you frequent, or the next restaurant you go to. We can even provide you with a list of past donors to call. Now that is volunteering from the comfort of your own home and you are making a huge difference to our organization! It is through raised funds that we are able to continue our programs and keep kids graduating. What a fantastic way to help CYAR earn money and for you to have a great evening on us.
The second way we would very much appreciate your help is on the day of the event. If you would be so kind as to work any of the below shifts, we would love for you to enjoy the rest of the evening free of charge.
*Set-Up, 1-4pm
*Auction Monitoring and Closing Items, 6-8pm OR 8-10pm
*Serving/Mingling, 6-7:30pm OR 7:30-9pm
*Break-Down, 9-10:30pm We are always looking for volunteers for the following teams: Administrative
These volunteers spend time helping in the Colorado Youth at Risk office. Activities include bulk mailings, database management, putting packets together, and phone services.
Events
Behind the scenes volunteers help create an environment and a space for amazing things to happen, often making transitions from one activity to the next flow seamlessly. Activities include set up of the space and preparation of special supplies or activities. Volunteers are needed for every community workshop, special event, and the launch course.
Fundraising/In-Kind Donation Cultivators
We currently have four major fundraising events a year (in addition to smaller events), including our spring auction, summer golf/bowling event, and our two fall fundraisers, Mustache 4 Cash/Color 4 Kids and our Annual Partners for a Bold Future Breakfast. Help on the day of the event or sit on the committee – it’s up to you! Also, if you have connections to in-kind giving we would love your help. Or perhaps you enjoy asking people to donate to the community. We are looking for any sort of donation including gift certificates, various services, trips, airfare miles, etc.
Youth Enrollment Team
Youth enrollment is a great way to interact with our youth without the mentoring. Youth enrollment is the youth’s and parents’ first real exposure to our organization and what we do. As a part of this team you get to create the space for the meeting as well as interact and interview the youth. It’s a fantastic feeling knowing that you were part of this youth’s journey to success! Come back and visit them by volunteering at Community Workshops.
Fund Development Committee
Are you passionate about what CYAR does? Cultivating just one relationship can make a huge impact! If you possess the ability to network, contact key foundations, and be yourself to help spread your passion to others that are looking to contribute donations to a worthy cause then this is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!
