More and more people are interested in going green with their gift giving. Others are interested in giving something that may have a deeper meaning than what you can buy in the mall. At Colorado Youth at Risk we have created gift cards to help with your gift giving. Each card tells your friend or loved one what your gift buys at Colorado Youth at Risk.
Your donation makes a difference – Be assured that your donation will be used wisely. Colorado Youth at Risk serves approximately 200 youth annually with a staff of 4 full time and 2 part time employees. We depend on volunteers to help make a difference in the lives of the youth we serve. In 2007, our 6 employees worked with 289 volunteers, for a total of 21,149 volunteer hours, the equivalent of 10 full time employees. Dollar amount What it buys $20.00 One background check for a second year mentor. $25.00 One month’s cell phone reimbursement for our on-call staff. $30.00 A bus pass for a student to get to school for a month. $50.00 5 - $10.00 food gift cards for students to get lunch or dinner. $100.00 Pizza for 80 people at a monthly Community Workshop. $500.00 Food and supplies for our annual picnic for 250 people. $1000.00 A mentor to be paired with a youth. $2500.00 A mentor to be paired with a youth for a year, including program charges.
